Raju Bitter on People Aggregator

Raju has an excellent post about People Aggregator on his blog. The upcoming release of People Aggregator is what keeps me awake at nights these days! The team is working very hard and it is THE biggest and most complex project most of the dev team has ever worked on. Besides, we are a truly global team with us in Gurgaon, India, Phil in New Zeland, Martin in Germany, and Marc , MarcS and rest of the BBM gang in California. One day I will write in great detail the challenges and advantages of doing such extreme distributed development. But first we gotta ship some code! :)

Surely working with a distributed team is really a challenge. But, I think you are missing something here.

What enabled this sort of development. I think you should give due credit to Free and Open Source Software.

Just wanted to remind you.

The nights you stay up to finish the PeopleAggregator will be really worth it. Working on such an international team spread over the world sure is a valuable experience. Esspecially when you work on such a complex piece of software. Best of luck for the final weeks before releasing the PeopleAggregator. Many people will excited to see the results of your work.

Thanks Raju!

Nazim, of course People Aggregator is built on top of open source technology and we definitely owe a lot to OSS. Goes without saying but I will still say it more often!:)

What does the People Aggregate do? In 50 words or less.
